For in-house teams
You keep the judgment. We take the queue.
Your department splits cleanly in two. One half needs standing, relationships and the authority to say no. The other half is volume — the same twelve clauses, the same registers, the same filings, arriving faster than anyone can absorb them. We take the second half against thresholds you set.
The pressure
Headcount is capped, the business is not slowing down, and the work that reaches your desk first is rarely the work that most needs you. Meanwhile the external counsel line keeps growing because sending it out is faster than absorbing it.
A managed layer underneath the department fixes both: the routine stops reaching you, and it stops going to a firm at firm rates.
What we take on
-
NDA turnaround
Mutual and one-way NDAs drafted, reviewed and negotiated inside your approved positions, without reaching your desk at all.
-
MSA, SOW and vendor agreements
Drafted and negotiated against your playbook, with escalation only where a position falls outside the thresholds you set.
-
Playbook build and maintenance
Fallback positions written with you in the first month, then kept current as your risk appetite and standard terms move.
-
Contract abstraction
Executed agreements reduced to their operative terms: key dates, notice periods, caps, indemnities, change-of-control triggers.
-
Obligations and renewals register
A maintained register with alerts raised before the notice window closes, rather than after a renewal has rolled.
-
Policy drafting and refresh
Anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, whistleblowing and data protection, written for the regimes you operate in.
-
Third-party due diligence
Counterparty screening and risk assessment on a documented, repeatable basis that survives an auditor reading it cold.
-
Statutory registers and filing calendar
Registers maintained, deadlines tracked, and drafts ready ahead of the date rather than on it.
-
Litigation support
Bundles, chronologies, disclosure review and counsel briefing packs, so external fees go on advocacy rather than assembly.
-
External counsel management
Instructions scoped before work starts, panel rates enforced, invoices checked against what was agreed.
-
Legal operations reporting
Matter intake, turnaround against service levels, escalation rate and spend by firm — one pack, monthly, in a form your CFO reads.
-
Internal controls documentation
Process narratives, risk and control matrices, test packs and remediation tracking for ICFR and equivalent regimes.
How it runs
Inside your systems, under your thresholds.
We work on accounts you provision and can revoke, in your contract system and your document store, under your retention schedule. For most clients no personal data crosses a border at all — which is the cleanest answer to the transfer question your DPO will ask.
Thresholds are agreed at the start: value, risk, counterparty type, anything you want back on your desk. Everything below them is handled and reported. Everything above returns to you before work continues, not after.
Next
Start with the queue you most resent.
A conversation, a sample of real work, then a paid pilot on one defined workstream — usually contract turnaround, because the result is visible within a fortnight.
